Four long-haired little ones. Four very different personalities. The photographs are real. The attitude is theirs. The website merely provides the paperwork.

Sixteen Paws. Four Personalities. One Pack.   •   Angry by Name, Adorable by Nature.

The Boys & the Girls. Around here, Jimmy and Johnny are “the boys,” while Abby and Bella are “the girls”—part of a family vocabulary that goes back through generations of dachshunds. The boys are littermates, and so are the girls. Better still, they’re family: the girls’ mother, Fiona, is Jimmy and Johnny’s sister.

J&J — Brothers of Thunder. Johnny and Jimmy are littermates, born December 29, 2020, with Jimmy arriving first. Jimmy’s German name is Jakob and his litter name was Finn; Johnny’s German name is Hans and his litter name was Hunter. Their names honor St. James and St. John the Apostles—the brothers Jesus called the “Sons of Thunder.” The J&J naming was quite intentional.

Abby & Bella. The girls are sisters and littermates, born September 28, 2022, to Gunner and Fiona. Abby’s litter name was Tootsie, and Bella’s was Susie Q. Through their mother, Fiona, they are nieces of Jimmy and Johnny.

Serious, stubborn and always close by. Johnny has had those concerned eyes since puppyhood. He keeps his eye on his dad, and beneath the solemn dachshund expression is an exceptionally big heart.

Gentle, easygoing and beautifully put together. Abby has a thick, tidy coat and a reserved sweetness. She is cautious with affection, but once granted it is genuine. She is perfectly content to let Bella run the management department.

Jimmy believes energy should be conserved until something interesting happens. Then the Sherlock eyes switch on. He roams for clues, investigates suspicious sounds, and occasionally produces a burst of speed that may require transportation home.

The smallest of the four with the largest production budget. Bella moves in quick little steps, watches everything suspiciously, barks at threats ranging from lawn figures to trash bags, and somehow manages to be shy, bossy, cautious and completely in charge at the same time.

Why Four Angry Dachshunds?

The name didn’t begin with four angry dachshunds. It began with two signs. We saw a restaurant called Angry Goats. Then we came across a tree service called Angry Beavers. Somewhere between the goats and the beavers, a light came on: Four Angry Dachshunds.

And that was that. The name had found us.

Angry by name. Adorable by nature.
